The ATML Choir CIC is a Manchester-based Community Interest Company that uses choral music to bring people together. We create a safe and welcoming space where people can sing, connect, grow in confidence, and feel part of a community.
Our Story
ATML Choir CIC began its journey in December 2024 as AMAS Talent Management Ltd, originally registered as a limited liability company with a vision to nurture and manage talent within the entertainment industry. As the organisation grew, it became clear that there was a deeper social need within the community, a need for spaces that support mental wellbeing, connection, and belonging. Recognising this, a strategic decision was made in November 2025 to convert the organisation into a Community Interest Company (CIC), officially registered under CIC number 16134235. This shift marked a new chapter, placing community impact at the heart of everything we do. The UK continues to face a recognised loneliness crisis, with government reports identifying loneliness as a major public health issue. According to the 2024/2025 Community Life Survey (Department for Culture, Media and Sport), approximately 3.1 million people in England reported feeling lonely often or always. This growing need for connection and support is what drives ATML Choir CIC, using music, creativity, and community to bring people together and reduce the impact of loneliness across Manchester and beyond.
Leadership
ATML Choir CIC is led by two co‑directors, each bringing complementary strengths that shape the organisation’s vision, community impact, and operational excellence. Their shared commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and wellbeing guides every aspect of the choir’s work.Artistic & Programme Director – Temi Komolafe
Temi leads the creative and wellbeing direction of ATML Choir. He oversees repertoire selection, programme design, and the overall artistic vision, ensuring that the choir’s music is inclusive, uplifting, and accessible to all members. His role also includes supporting volunteers and members, fostering a safe and encouraging environment, and developing wellbeing‑focused workshops that use singing to combat loneliness. Temi is an SRA Licensed Solicitor in England and Wales. He holds an LL.B from the University of Ibadan Nigeria, a BL from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.M from Manchester Metropolitan University UK. He also earned a Money Advice Practice Certificate (MIMA) from the Institute of Money Advice. His professional background also includes years of service as a Generalist Adviser, Debt Adviser, and Money Advice Caseworker at Citizens Advice, giving him direct insight into the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals Alongside his legal and community work, Temi is an established singer‑songwriter with over 50 released songs and collaborations across the UK and internationally. His creative portfolio includes music videos filmed in Manchester and Lagos, many of which promote mental health awareness. This blend of legal expertise, social advocacy, and musical creativity shapes ATML’s unique approach to wellbeing through music.
Operations & Community Outreach Director – Noman Qamar
Noman oversees the operational, administrative, and community‑engagement functions of ATML Choir. He manages recruitment for members and volunteers, coordinates events, builds partnerships, and ensures the organisation remains accessible and community‑focused. His work strengthens ATML’s visibility across Greater Manchester and supports its mission to tackle loneliness through meaningful social connection. Noman is a qualified Lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Punjab and has over a decade of experience across the legal, nonprofit, education, and business sectors. He holds degrees in Law, Journalism, Political Science, and an LL.M from Manchester Metropolitan University, along with a Certificate in Education and Leadership Management. His professional background includes roles as a Generalist Adviser at Citizens Advice, Director of Malloo Abroad (Student Consultancy), Director of Suffah Grammar Schools, and Legal Associate at H & H Law Firm. He has also held leadership roles in youth empowerment and community development through organisations such as the Youth Empowerment Society (YES), Youth Career Counselling (Y2C), and Halo Hub Manchester. His experience in strategy, operations, and community outreach strengthens ATML’s ability to deliver sustainable social impact.Together, Temi and Noman form a leadership team that balances artistic creativity with operational structure. Their combined expertise in law, music, education, social advocacy, and community engagement ensures that ATML Choir CIC is both a vibrant musical community and a well‑governed organisation delivering real social impact.
Who We Welcome
We welcome beginners, experienced singers, and everyone in between. You do not need to read music or have formal training to join. Whether you are a professional singer or someone who only sings at home, you are welcome to be part of our choir community.
